Questions to ask When Looking for a Reception Site

Your ceremony is important; after all, it's the point at which two become
one. But the majority of your wedding day will center around the festivities
of your reception. Given its importance, make sure you ask the reception
site the right questions to ensure that you'll be getting what you want.
Questions for Your Reception Site:
- Do you have more than one room for receptions?
- How many guests will each room accommodate?
- How many guests will each room seat?
- How many rest rooms are there, and in what location?
- Do you have handicapped facilities?
- How much parking space is available?
- Do you provide valet parking? What is the cost?
- How large is the dance floor?
- If security is necessary, do you provide it?
- Do you provide bartenders?
- Do you have a list of vendors that you prefer to work with?
- Do you provide bartenders?
- Is it necessary to use your food or recommended caterers?
- Is it necessary to use your beverages?
- How many tables and chairs do you provide?
- How early can we set up?
- How late can we stay?
- Who is responsible for cleanup?
- Is there someone available to let in vendors?
- What is the fee for the reception room? For how many hours?
- Can hours be extended? What is the cost?
- What is your cancellation policy?
- How soon must the site be reserved?
- Are guests permitted to throw birdseed, confetti, petals, etc.?
- What is your policy for liquor liability?
- Are you insured?
- Can I have a sample contract?
