We met each other at a college event at our church. Since the group was pretty much made up of people we both didn't know, I went up and introduced myself to the best looking guy in the room. We quickly became friends but made it clear to each other that we weren't looking for a relationship. After a year of inseparability our friendship continued to stretch the boundaries of a typical friendship. At this point it became uncomfortable and unbearable to be apart from each other. When we found ourselves walking late one August evening through a grove of apple trees, the intensity of our feelings expressed themselves in not only a kiss, but a declaration of love for one another. Four months later we were engaged.
