Q: If I am having 75 people to my ceremony and dinner then inviting another 60 people to the reception (only after dinner) is it appropriate to give the reception guests guest favours? I don't want to offend those coming after dinner but am also looking at a very tight budget. A: My advice to you would be not to include the after-dinner guests in the guest favours. To be quite honest, by the time they arrive for the party, the structural part of the evening will have been completed. They will be joining a party, not a wedding, if you know what I mean. There will likely not be much order left to the evening... there will be people on the dance floor, people leaving, people switching seats and talking, etc. There wouldn't really be a way of handing out the additional guest favours anyway! Don't worry about it! There's really no need for you to go through that financial expense! |
