How come wedding dress sizes fit smaller then normal dresses?
Designers of wedding dresses have always made dresses that fit smaller. They usually fit 1 to 2 sizes larger than your dress size. So if you are a size 6 you would probably be trying on size 8 in wedding gowns.

How long does it take for a gown to be ordered?
A wedding gown can take from 8 to 12 months from the time of ordering to be ready for your first fitting, so plan well in advance.

How many times do I need to be fitted?
You will need to be fitted for the first time 4 to 6 weeks prior to your wedding date. This is very important in making sure the dress is fitting how it should and it allows enough time for minor alterations to be made. Following this usually is a second fitting 2 to 3 weeks prior to the wedding date.
