Wearing Bridal Gloves

Q: I would like to wear gloves as part of my wedding outfit. When do I remove them to put my ring on and do I put them back on after the ceremony?

A: Wearing gloves for your wedding is a really terrific idea! What a nice touch! I would say that you should wear the gloves on your way into the ceremony, and for the pictures beforehand. You should take them off at the moment when the person that has the rings is preparing to give them to you. I would not put them back on during the reception, since you'll have your new ring to show off!! A word of advice: practice putting them on and taking them off a few times...some gloves are tricky to remove, and you don't want to stand in front of everyone and fiddle with them during your wedding reception.
