Bride and Groom Dance Lessons Picture this. The wedding couple has obsessed about every little detail to ensure that everything will look perfect on their wedding day. The ribbons on the bridesmaids` dresses even match the dinner napkins. Then the bride and groom get up for their first dance - and waddle! No offense but - it`s sooooooo boring to watch them hug in a circle for 5 minutes. When asked about it, the bride and groom are quick to defend themselves by saying they just don`t know how to dance. Contrary to popular belief, dancing isn`t something that just comes naturally. With time, practice and proper guidance, anyone can learn a few steps to make themselves and their guests more comfortable during that very important first dance. The key is to start ahead of time. Three to six months is ideal. This way a couple can practice in between lessons to enhance what they`re learning by building on the technique and style. Also contrary to popular belief, a man can and should be taught how to properly lead. There is nothing mystical about leading. There are clear signals (like pushing and pulling) that the man subtly does on the woman`s back to let her know what step to do next. With practice, this becomes easy and fun. So get out there and kick up your heels on your wedding day. But remember practice makes perfect and two left feet can make a right! |
