Ways to have a ceremony on the shore
by Ceremonies On The Shore

Ahhhhh, to have a ceremony on the shore. The feeling of being one with nature as you make a commitment to your special someone. Imagine exchanging vows on the shore with the roar of the ocean in the background; the sight of the seagulls flying overhead, & the feel of the sand under your feet or if barefoot, between your toes. The wind echoing as if to say, "congratulations on starting your new life together."

A lot of people prefer this way to celebrate starting their new lives together; the freedom to be themselves without all the stress of having a formal church wedding. You can still have a formal wedding if you wish, but the feeling of being outdoors is truly an awesome feeling. Whether you choose to have a simple ceremony with just the bride & groom and the two witnesses or an elaborate celebration with many guests attending, there will be room for everyone to attend.

Some locations are flat sandy beaches, while others have big rocks surrounding. Jetties, which are located in various states are very nice locations for a wedding. The actual ceremony takes place on the beach while the guest scatter themselves on the beach or seat themselves upon the rocks.

For the decorative part of the ceremony, you can have an arch laced with flowers ribbon or lights, or two tikki torches for the bride and groom or the minister to stand under. The aisle way that the bride walks down can be sprinkled with roses or any kind of flower pedals, or even tiny little shells. Some weddings prefer candles to mark the aisle way.

As for the attire of the bride & groom, again it can be as formal or as simple as they wish. There have been weddings were the bride has been in a traditional wedding dress & the groom in a standard tux. A simple floral or print pattern dress for a less casual event. Even ceremonies where the couple has worn matching bathing suites for that totally laid back, no pressure feeling. It is entirely up to them, it is their ceremony.
