Wedding Videographer on a Budget

Q: My fiancé and I are on a tight budget and we are unsure about getting a videographer. We would rather spend more money on a photographer. Is this wrong?

A: I can certainly appreciate your situation! It's always tough when you're planning a wedding because you have so many expenses, and you try to cut corners where you can. I know how that is! However, when it comes to your wedding day, you only do this once (you hope!) and any memories that you capture are both valuable and precious. I always tell my clients that when all is said and done, the wedding pictures and videos are the only tangible things that you have, so they're a worthwhile investment. While I always encourage my clients to purchase a video, I also know how expensive videographers can be. I would suggest going to someone affordable yet professional.
