Choosing a Banquet Hall
by Il Cavaliere

The place you choose for your reception will be one of the biggest decisions you make for your wedding day. Choosing the place with the right ambiance, service and food will make your day one that everyone will remember so there are some very important things to ask.

How long have you been in business?
Make sure that the hall has been in business for at least five years. Ask for references and talk to people you know that have attended the hall.

What kind of food do your caterers provide and do you all for outside catering?
Some halls cater to many types of foods where as others only cater to one. Request if you can attend a function to sample the food. Maybe you want to bring in your own catering so remember to ask before hand since many halls do not allow for this.

What types of service do you provide?
There are two main types of food service; French and Continental. "French" service is where waiters serve guests from a bowl or tray where as "Continental" service is where the dinner is served on a plate.

What other services do you provide?
Many halls offer other services like invitations, disc jockeys, flowers etc. Booking a hall and a few other services at one place will make planning easier and in most cases more affordable than purchasing each individually.
