Hair Accessory Selection
by DaisyShores.com
In working with brides I have found that most feel that their only hair accessory options are a veil and tiara. For those of you who feel that a tiara is to bulky, traditional, or just 'not you' there are many other options to give your 'do' some flare.
Besides smaller tiaras which can be worn more like a headband you can choose from an array of other hair adornments like decorative combs, pins, clips, and flowers.
Before you decide what you’re going to wear in your hair decide how you're going to wear it. Go to your hair dresser for a trial or play around at home. Once you've chosen your 'do' then you can make a decision on what to put in it.
If you are wearing your hair all down or half down/half up decorative bobby pins, beaded headbands and small clips which fasten with velcro or snaps work well and give it that finishing touch. Also, with a half up 'do' you can place a small ornate comb at the back of your head where the hair being tied joins.
For hair worn up you have so many options such as tiaras, crowns, fresh or silk flowers, crystal hair vines, bobby pins, combs, and clips.
Just make sure that the piece you choose reflects your style and is the right size for your 'do'. You want it to be noticeable but not overtake the rest of your look.
In the end go with what you feel comfortable with and just remember that with today’s style what is 'traditionaly done' is out and 'what YOU want' is in.
