Why a wedding website?

Other than providing all the details of your wedding and maps accessible
24 hours a day, worldwide on the web, there are a variety of reasons for
choosing to create a wedding website.
By posting video or pictures, those unable to attend the ceremony feel
included. My great-grandmother, then in very poor health, was able to
view our wedding with a live video online to the hospital where she was
a patient, stated Anne of Minnesota. Knowing she was able to be there
and see us get married, even in a virtual way, really made our day! For
many website design and hosting companies, your pictures taken during
the wedding and reception are also available for a certain amount of time
for family and friends to view. Letting your guests see the candid shots
from the disposable cameras you provided can really be fun.
Another reason for securing the services of a website designer is being
able to receive your RSVPs online. For those guests without Internet access,
some companies even offer toll free RSVP answering service and will tally
up your RSVPs for you.
Letting your guests know where you are registered, and providing direct
links to online registries takes the guesswork out of them wondering what
to get the bride and groom. While guests don't want to see the registry
as the first page of your website, it is an appropriate place to include
registry information and useful for your guests.
Much like an invitation, a wedding website can set the tone for your
wedding. The level of formality or casualness is portrayed. Your website,
with biographies, stories of how you met, and your interests as a couple
all reflect your unique personalities and can be of great interest to
those just meeting you on your wedding day.
