A Good Wedding Video
by AFM
Productions
In the midst of the tremendous technological advances that started a
couple of years ago and continue even faster today, video productions
companies in general and wedding videographers in particular are striving
to stay current by investing in the best equipment available, upgrading
their editing suites and refreshing their production equipment.
Broadcast quality 3 CCD cameras, wireless microphones, MD recorders,
fast and powerful Non-Linear Editing racks, DVD authoring systems that
encode Dolby Digital Surround Sound - all these will now become more and
more available to many video production studios.
No doubt that the future will soon bring us more … Widescreen aspect
ratio productions delivered on DVD will become the norm, high definition
and affordable video on demand is around the corner but what does actually
make a good wedding video?
In spite of all the above, a good wedding video will have to:
- Catch the emotions of the couple, the spirit and happenings of each
and every moment and preserves them unaltered allowing the bride and
groom to re-live the day as it happened and to share the joy and happiness
with family and friends for years to come;
- Tell the story of the day in a simple, tasteful, most direct way possible,
where special effects and computer-generated animations are not a showcase
of technology;
- Be complete and true; it will have a life of its own and will run
smoothly covering the day.
- Make you forget you are watching a video and feel that you are again,
at the wedding.
- Show the bride and groom, family and friends enjoying the weeding
and not being confronted or disturbed by the videographers and (or)
their tools.
- Be free of technical flaws: sharp focus, steady shots, excellent composition
and inspired editing will all harmonize to create a complete, true and
sensible image of the day;
A good weeding video is as a true wedding video. Tools and technology, careful
planning and flawless techniques must be all there to support Creativity,
Talent and Dedication. After all... It's all about passion! ™
