Wedding Photography - FAQs
by Click Photo Company

Who determines the location of wedding shots?
Usually the couple do a little research on their own and select a couple of venues of their choice. However, since the photographers are most experienced in terms of which locations may actually be best or more suitable for the season, it is a good idea to discuss your plans with them. Outdoor locations are the most common, however weather does not always permit, therefore the experienced photographer would be knowledgeable of a suitable indoor location. Couples should also consider the time allowance for travel between ceremony and reception.

How many hours of coverage does our photographer offer?
Since most weddings are full day events we suggest that you seek a company which will offer you full day coverage. If you feel you will not require coverage of the entire day events then discuss with the photographer what periods throughout the day are most important to you. A photographer should follow your wedding itinerary.

How many rolls of film will you shoot?
You may be comfortable with a pre-determined amount of film used to cover the entire function. However, we strongly suggest you seek photographers who do not limit their artistic potential by the quantity of rolls they are allotted. This way you will not be concerned about what moments were not captured, and in fact will be pleasantly surprised by the variety of shots you will have to select from. As a result of being provided with such a vast selection of photos, you may exceed the quantity outlined in your requested package.

What percentage of candid vs. stylized photos and colour vs. black & white photos should we request?
It is in your best interest to request all styles of photography and leave it to the photographer's discretion as to what type of shot is most suitable and when. Candid shots are wonderful and always unique, however a wedding is usually a formal event which we believe requires creative professionalism to capture the essence of subjects in a portrait pose. Variation in colour can also be left the photographer's judgment, based on the same principle.

Which photographer will be assigned to my wedding?
Upon choosing a company, make certain you review all portfolios representative of each photographer. A reputable company will only assign photographers who pass its artistic & professional standards.
