It was Friday October 6th, 2000 and I was having a terrible day. My fiance and I had planned at the beginning of the week to go for dinner that night. I came home around 7:00 from work only to find the whole house lit with candles & the sweet sounds of Diana Krall playing in the background. As I walked through the front door, there was a chair directly in front of me with a sign attached to it reading "Please read below & follow all the instructions". Below was a beautiful card which explained to me what I had to do. From the front all the way up the stairs to the bedroom, there was a trail of 6 small cards & a red rose beside each card. The cards were filled with the most beautiful words,but at the end of each card it read "I should of known you would capture my heart forever". As I came to the last card it read," So at the 6th rose, on the 6th day of October, it's very clear that you have captured my heart forever. Once you walk through that bedroom door the final question is here." I could not stop crying. As I walked through the bedroom door, I ran into his arms. He then said,"Honey I love you sooooooooo much and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?" Of course I said yes!!!! We were both crying! It was definitely an engagement to remember.
