A 2nd Time Bride Wearing a Veil
Q: Is it proper for a 2nd time bride to wear a veil?
A: This is a great question! I would say that in the mid 1980's to the
early 1990's it was considered to be a true "faux pas" for a
bride to wear a veil to her second wedding. However, those days were much
more traditional than the time we live in now. Traditions such as no-veils
and no white dresses for a second marriage have since changed, and it
is now very common to see second-time-brides wearing veils and pursuing
the same details as first-time-brides. I don't think anyone will even
batt an eyelash if you decide to wear your veil for your upcoming wedding.
You should be just fine. If wearing a veil is an integral part of the
wedding you have envisioned, I see no real reason for you to have to disclude
that detail from your special day.
