Inviting a Guest for Single People

Q: Do you have to invite a guest for all the single people on your invitations?

A: Your question is both a valid and a common one! Many people experience difficulties with the invitations. The answer to your question is yes, you should probably invite a "guest" for each single person that will be attending your wedding. This basically provides them with the opportunity to bring a date so that they have someone to dance with, etc. As far as the wording goes, you can be simple and to the point! For example, if you were inviting John Doe, the invitations would read "Mr. John Doe and a guest of his choice are cordially invited to attend the wedding of _______ and ________ on the date of ____________."
