Choosing "Your" Photographer
by KiMAGIC Photo & Design

There many options available for today's bride to find the wedding photographer. One very popular option is to go to bridal shows and look for what is offered by various photographers there. You can search the web and find the list of photographers working in your area offering wedding services.

No matter which way you found the photographer, it is very important to look at his work, meet with him in person and discuss your ideas about the dream pictures.
The right photographer will make you comfortable in front of the camera and your expression will not be tensed and unhappy. If there is a good understanding between you and photographer and you like his work, you can be sure you chose the right person.

From our experience, some brides know what they expect...what type and style of the photographs they would like to get. Looking at friends and relatives albums and wedding portraits can help you to create the desired style. Most photographers work within their own style and if your choice is close to it, you will like your wedding photos.

Many brides expect the photographer to provide advice and suggest the style of the images for their wedding that suits the personalities of bride and groom and their lifestyle. Spend some time with your photographer discussing the differences between styles and media. Do not forget to ask about the album designs and look at the samples of the albums and the overall presentation of the wedding images.

You will find that most studios offer the packages. Carefully review the package. Do not just consider the price. Some photographers include images in the package that will only be used for the album and you are not getting a big portrait and enough photos for all of your family and friends. You can prepare to discuss the package and the price by having a list of desired images for yourself, family, bridesmaids and others. For example, some photographers offer a set of invitations, thank you cards and engagement portrait with their packages.

The photographer is a very important person at your wedding. He has to be very well organized and have management skills to be able to take lots of pictures, follow the tight schedule of the day and get beautiful images that you will enjoy for the years to come. Good luck!
