Ordering wedding flowers

Q: I was wondering how far in advance do you have to order the flowers?

A: The timing really depends on the florist that you're using. I always encourage my clients to book things way in advance, when possible. If you're getting your flowers from a reputable florist that has been in business for a number of years, I would say that you can book as far as a year in advance. However, if you're using a florist that is fairly new or one that hasn't proven their success to you in the past, you're ok booking 4-6 months in advance. In all honesty, you can probably still get away with booking your florist a month or two prior to the wedding, however I don't recommend it as you may be putting yourself in a risky situation.
