Q: How do I tell my guests that I am registered somewhere?

A: Generally speaking you would send that information through with the invitations. Along with the invitation cards that are mailed out you would just insert a little note that says where you are registered and the contact information of the store. Some stores, especially the larger ones, will provide their business cards or a special card that includes all this information. This is the best way to notify everyone. If by chance you have already sent your invitations out, you can forward this information to your guests by email or notify the person that is arranging your wedding shower or stagette so that they can notify the guests when they send invitations out for those functions. It's always better to provide this information to your guests in writing so that they have the contact information there to refer to when required. If by chance you are creating a wedding website you could also post the information there.
